SUMMER CAMPS

HORSE LOVER’S CAMP (Ages 7-12)

Our Horse Lover’s Day Camp is a wonderful way to introduce your child to riding and horses!  Twice daily lessons, hands-on learning horse care and horse science projects, horsey crafts, meeting other horse lover’s, and much more!  Horse Lover’s Day Camp is progressive with its lessons, so attending an additional week only builds the Horse Lover’s skill set both in the saddle and on the ground.  Each camp runs independently and will include a different schedule of activities!  Ages 7-12, No Experience Necessary

SMALL FRY DAY CAMP (Ages 4-6)

This unique Day Camp is geared towards our littlest of horse lover’s!  Safety and fun are the priorities!  The day’s schedule takes place in small groups to ensure individual attention and allow each child to develop their confidence, strength and skill set at their own pace.  Traditional riding lessons are given twice daily, but each lesson has been developed toward learning while making each lesson enjoyable.  Small Fry Day Camps are all offered either for our Full Day Schedule (9 am-4 pm) or Half Day Schedule (9am – Noon).  If your child hasn’t been out to visit our stable and ponies we recommend a Small Fry Lesson scheduled prior to the first day of camp, to meet our four-legged friends and instructors!  Ages 4-6, No Experience Necessary

ADVANCED HORSE LOVER’S CAMP (Ages 7-13)

This is for the Horse Lover who can ride independently at both the walk and trot, and is progressing with their lessons.  Our staff recommends a week of Horse Lover’s Camp prior to enrolling in this camp, as we continue on with our twice daily riding lessons, and our Horse Science and Equine Education daily projects get a little more informative—we learn about horse’s skeletons, nutrition and we also “skills test” at the end of the week with our Horsemanship skills.  Even more time is spent each day handling and caring for our horses.  Ages 7-13, riders must be able to ride independently at both walk and trot.  If you are unsure of your Horse Lover’s riding skills be sure to give our LEC Office a call and our instructors can help make the best summer camp experience!  This is a very popular camp, so if you’re interested get registered ASAP

GREAT HORSE CAMPING ADVENTURE

Each year we take a tough bunch of equestrians and head out to Mammoth Cave National Park for three days, two nights for the experience of a lifetime!  We stay in the bunkrooms at Mammoth Cave Horse Camp, our camp mother makes us delicious and healthy meals, eat s’more’s by our own campfire, and ride several hours each day exploring the gorgeous trails less than two hours from Louisville.  Our campers are assigned their own horse and its care, grooming, bathing and cleaning its stall during the Adventure.  This is an Adventure like no other!  For more details contact the LEC Office.  Each camper must be able to control their horse in an open and challenging mountain trail environment and be able to canter comfortably.  Very limited enrollment so don’t miss out!  Call us for pricing!
