Summer Camps

Parents want an affordable camp experience for their children that provides safe, active, healthy and educational activities. Most of our Summer Camps are five days a week, Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 4:00 pm unless otherwise specified and will cost $375. Summer Day Camps are scheduled based on age and riding experience of the Campers. Riders from other barns interested in attending a camp with a required minimum riding level and who are not sure of their eligibility may schedule an Evaluation Lesson before registering for camp.
Brochures / Registration Forms will be available soon! But we do have dates (Yay!) posted now so mark your calendars! For more information about Summer Camp we can be contacted via the "Contact Us" page on this website, by phone at 502.267.0881 or by email at louisvilleequestriancenter@gmail.com.

Cost is $375/week
Small Fry I & II (4-6yrs)
June 7-11 (I) July 19-23 (II)
Expect your child to come home telling you about the great time they had at camp that day. Expect them to be a little dirty, but full of smiles. Expect your child to make lots of friends (two and four legged ones!) The goal of our Small Fry Camp is to make
this summer one your child will remember. Each child is sure to make great new friends, build confidence, work on new horseback riding skills and gain a deeper respect and love for animals. Each day is full of horseback riding, "horsey-themed" crafts, horsemanship skills and fun and games. The Small Fry Camp is geared towards our younger riders and thier attention levels and strength. Safety is our highest priority. Riding lessons are set up to teach the riders basic control and position through a series of educational, safe and fun exercises and games. All activities will take place in small groups of five children to ensure plenty of individual attention and allowing for each child to develop his/her skills at a comfortable pace.
Drill Team Clinic (Drill Team Members Only)
June 12-13 (TENTATIVELY)
The LEC started its competetive Drill Team in the Spring of 2009, and for its members it has been nothing but speed, thrills and fun!
Talk to your instructor if you are interested in joining the Drill Team. We have three age groups of riders and three fun levels.
This year prior to thier first competition, the Drill Team will have a two day intensive practice clinic. We will be going over our drills, routines, music and costumes.
Ride, Ride Some More, is our motto! Cost is $250 for two-day clinic.
Horse Lovers I & II (7-12yrs)
June 14-18 (I)
June 21-25 (II)
Our Horse Lovers Camp is an ideal place to get your child started with horseback riding. Each camper rides twice daily and has a fun day of 'hands-on' horse activities. Our Horse Lovers Camp will make this summer one your child will remember. Each child is sure to make new friends, build confidence, measurably improve his/her riding skills and gain a deeper respect and love for animals.
Intermediate Riding Day Camp
June 28-July 2
(8-13yrs, Must have attended one week of Horse Lovers or be riding at LEC Riding Skills Level Advancing Beginner or stronger)
Challenges both in and out of the arena will make the rider work hard on improving their riding skills. While helping our riders to improve and expand, fun is still a high priority.
Two riding sessions, horsemanship projects, barns and stables management chores, are all part of our daily schedule. This is a true horse lover's dream. Not only working on their riding skills, but getting to share their love of horses with other horse lover's throughout the week.
This camp does require that a camper attended a previous Horse Lover's Camp, is currently taking riding lessons or can ride at the LEC Riding Skills Level of Advancing Beginning. Campers with more riding skills will be grouped together to make sure that everyone is working at a comfortable yet challenging pace.
Mommy & Me (3-6yrs)
July 5-9
(Camp runs 9am-11am and the cost is $175)
We want to welcome everyone to come spend the morning with us out at the Stable. This day camp was developed to allow a parent and child to experience horses and riding. Each chilid is to have a parent relative or adult friend to attend the camp with them each day. Our experienced staff will work with both the child and the adult. Our wonderful, patient instructors will teach the adults to lead the ponies and assist the child during his/her lessons. Lessons are geared towards our smallest riders, teaching them basic position and control of thier horse through a series of fun and entertaining skills.
Each day will consist of a riding lesson for each child, a 'horsey-themed' craft and a daily horse project (ex. pony painting, making horse treats)
Fun is our theme for the week!! So come out and join us for a very memorable experience for both you and your child!
